Our Vita Unsweetened Teas were accompanied with the meal kits that Table to Table NYC distributed to elders and vulnerable members of the Asian community in NYC during the onset of COVID-19. Since restaurants and grocery stores were closed due to the pandemic, the meal kits and our Vita Unsweetened Teas were donated to underserved members who needed the support.

During the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in North America, there was a shortage of personal protective equipment, such as face cloth masks and hand sanitizers for consumers to purchase. We produced reusable face cloth masks and hand sanitizer premiums during the pandemic to give away as donations, in-store and e-commerce promotions, or for food delivery and in-store employees to wear.

Our Vita Tea was donated to various hospitals and community colleges in the West Coast and handed out to our target beneficiaries.

How We Govern

At Vitasoy, we believe that our sustainability governance structure strengthens our accountability and, by extension, the overall performance of Vitasoy as a responsible company.

The Board holds the overall accountability for the company’s ESG strategies and performance. To drive our ESG agenda with dedicated Board-level oversight, we have set up a Board-level ESG Committee in 2020. Our Group Executive Sustainability Committee became operational in July 2018, reports to the ESG Committee, recommending goals, strategies and initiatives, overseeing their communication and implementation across the Company, and integrating sustainability into day-to-day operations.

To drive accountability, Vitasoy has incorporated sustainability performance as part of the performance criteria for the leadership team and middle management since FY 2017/18.
